Pause, remove or bring back a code
Pause a code, move it to the trash or restore it when you need to.
Pause stops a code for now, and Delete moves it to the trash. Both can be undone. In either case, people who scan see a page saying This QR code is not available.
Pause a code
Open the code and switch off Active, or open the three-dot More menu and choose Pause in the list. Use Activate to turn it back on. A paused code keeps its place in the list and its scan history.
Pause a code between events or seasons instead of deleting it. You keep everything, and it comes back with one click.
Move a code to the trash
Open the three-dot More menu and choose Delete. The code goes to the Trash, and its link stops working. Codes in the trash don't count towards your team's code limit.
Bring a code back
- In the QR codes list, click Trash.
- Click Restore next to the code.
The code keeps the same short link and its full scan history. If it was active before you deleted it, its link works again. If it was paused, open the three-dot More menu and choose Activate in the list to make it work again.
Why there's no permanent delete
A short link is never given to another code. So a code you trashed years ago can't suddenly lead to someone else's page, even if it's still printed somewhere.
Problems
- Restore doesn't work. Your team has reached its code limit, shown above the QR codes list. Move another code to the trash first.
- I paused a code by accident and people noticed. Turn it back on with Activate. The change is immediate.
